Present Continuous

Explanation: Used for actions happening now or around the present time.

Examples:

– I am studying English.

– They are watching a movie.

Formula:

Subject + am/is/are + verb-ing

Subject + am not/is not/are not + verb-ing

Auxiliary Verbs: am, is, are

Example: They are watching a movie.

Common time expressions with the Present Continuous

Immediate time
- now
- right now
- at the moment
- currently
- at present
Near present
- today
- this morning / this afternoon / this evening
- tonight
Temporary spans
- these days
- this week / this month / this year
Colloquial emphasis
- just now
- for the time being

Stative verbs are verbs not usually used in Present Continuous 🚫
